An Official Trip to Yercaud, Salem

On 15th November’ 2011, I and HR Manager of our hotel had been to Shevaroys College of Hotel Management, Yercaud for campus recruitment.
It was a different experience for me to be there as at Yercaud as it was my first time. Yercaud is located on the hills near by Salem (which is approximately 200 kms away from Bangalore).
To reach yercaud you can take a bus or private cabs. The place is popular for few tourist attractions, like Shevaroyan Temple, Hill Lake, Roads with Hair Pin Bends, Hilly valleys, Cottages and Resorts, Natural Perfume factory, Pagoda Point (to view sun set) and so on.
When we reached Salem at 12:15 pm the temperature was 36 degree Celsius, but when we reached Shevaroys, it was just 17 degree Celsius, because this hill top (Yercaud) is approx 1530 meter above the sea level.
We were escorted from the Salem city by a final year student of Shevaroys College, it took another one hour to reach on hill top.
In the evening we left for sight-seeing. And the very next day was Campus Recruitment.
Here are few glances captured in my little camera.

I took few shots of flowers also...

Games & Activities at HSPO

On November 07 ( Monday), I coordinated few games and activities for our staffs at our banquet hall.
It was just a HR initiative to boost our staffs' energy level.
There were three games:

1. Cup the Ball - where the staffs have to be in a large circle with one disposable cup in hand. They need to walk  anti-clockwise one behind another, one of the player will have a ball smaller than the cup, he/she has to pop the ball out of his cup so that the next person behind him (clock-wise) can catch that ball through the cup without touching the ball.

2. Mime ur Action - Participants will be doing mime based on the clues written on the chits, which they have to pick up.

3. Fort of Cards - Two group of participants have to make the tallest fort/ floor by using playing cards.
