Know how Hotel Star Classification differs.....

FHRAI has the unique classification criteria for the hotels to get their STAR categories.....
Here is a guide to know how hotel star classification obtains......
These hotels are small and usually managed and operated by the owner. The atmosphere will be more personal and the accommodations basic.

These hotels are generally part of a chain that offers consistent quality and limited amenities. They are small or medium in size and rooms will have a phone and TV.
Room Service is not a given option but a small restaurant on site can be expected.

These hotels are usually located next to major expressways, business centers or shopping areas. They offer spacious rooms and decorative lobbies. On-site restaurants may be average in size, but will offer breakfast, lunch and dinner. Valet and room service are usually available.

One can expect formal and large hotels with excellent facilities.
Above average service, beautiful furnished rooms, restaurants, room service, valet parking, fitness center and a concierge are some amenities to expect.

These hotels are made to pamper. They offer the highest degree of personal service and elegance.
The rooms are equipped with quality linens, all electronic gadgets, Jacuzzi tubs and in-room video facilities. These are multiple restaurants on site with extensive, gourmet menus, and room service is also available 24/7. A fitness center, swimming pool, valet parking and concierge service are mandatory for these type of hotels to attain their rating.

For all the hotels it is necessary to maintain the 10 basic following factors:
  1. Ambience
  2. Lay Out
  3. Array of Services to offer
  4. Air Conditioning
  5. Hygienic Aspects
  6. Restaurant and other food outlets
  7. Facilities for the physically challenged guests
  8. General Manager & his team
  9. Qualified and Well mannered staff
  10. Safety and Security

Rajindera Kumar, ex-president of FHRAI

Mr. Rajindera Kumar had been as  President of FHRAI (Federation of Hotels and Restaurants Association of India) from October 24, 2009 to September 30, 2010. He was also the Director of The Ambassador Hotel in New Delhi.

In one interview to him in his opinion how to make a hotel good, he replied, "I think what makes a good hotel is if it is well planned, tightly run and brilliantly managed. Whether it's the ambiance, daily maintenance and upkeep or even the little things; but it should be tightly run. The staff should be highly motivated and positive and guest satisfaction should be on top of the priority list. All of this rests on the General Manager (GM) and his team. If the GM isn't capable enough, the hotel will never do well".

A little brief about him...... He is the former director of Haryana Tourism Corporation and Chandigarh Industrial & Tourism Corporation Ltd. (CITCO), Chandigarh. PLEASE PASS THE BISCUITS..........A Sweet Story....

Please Pass the Biscuits

When I was a kid, my mom liked to make breakfast food for dinner every now and then.  And I remember one night in particular when she had made breakfast after a long, hard day at work.
On that evening so long ago, my mom placed a plate of eggs, sausage, and extremely burned biscuits in front of my dad.  I remember waiting to see if anyone noticed!  Yet all my dad did was reach for his Biscuit, smile at my mom and ask me how my day was at school.

I don't remember what I told him that night, but I do remember hearing my mom apologize to my dad for burning the biscuits.  And I'll never forget what he said:  "Honey, I love burned biscuits."

Later that night, I went to kiss Daddy good night and I asked him if he really liked his biscuits burned.  He wrapped me in his arms and said, "Your momma put in a long hard day at work today and she's real tired.  And besides... A burnt biscuit never hurt anyone!"

You know, life is full of imperfect things... And imperfect people.  I'm not the best at hardly anything, and I forget birthdays and anniversaries just like everyone else.  What I've learned over the years is that learning to accept each other’s faults and choosing to celebrate each others differences is one of the most important keys to creating a healthy, growing, and lasting relationship.

So...please pass me a biscuit. And yes, the burned one will do just fine! And please pass this along to someone who has enriched your life... I just did!

Life is too short to wake up with regrets... Love the people who treat you right and forget about the ones who don't.

ENJOY LIFE NOW - IT HAS AN EXPIRATION DATE!

Life might not give you a second chance......Nice Story to feel..

It was 08th July 2010; Nisha was waiting for her husband Ajay. It was their first marriage anniversary. Things have got changed since their marriage. Once they had been as sweetest, cutest couple, now they turned into a fighting one. They quarrel everyday for every small and ignorable things.
Nisha gave up thinking that Ajay must have forgotten their anniversary and surely won't be back home on time.
Ajay too didn't like how the things were going day by day. She so loved, so caring before marriage how everything got changed so radically. Yet they still love each other.
It was around 5:00 pm in the evening, nice breeze outside. The bell rang. Nisha was surprisingly happy. Ajay finally remembered their marriage anniversary, she ran to open the door. Indeed Ajay was standing outside. He was smiling and had a bunch of flowers at his hand.
The couple then started reliving their beautiful days, making up for their quarrels. There were champagne, light music and it started raining a little outside. Overall the weather too seemed to get romantic along with them.
But the moment came to a slight pause……………
The phone in the bedroom was ringing. Quite agitated Nisha went to pick up the phone. It was a man’s voice on the other end, Hello madam I am calling from the police station. Is it Mr. Ajay Chaoudhary's number???”

Yeah, it is. There was an accident and a Man died. We got your number from the man's purse. We need you to come here and identify the body.
Nisha's heart sank. For a moment she lost her life, “Whhhhaaat??”
Bbb-but my husband is here with me?”
“Sorry madam the accident took place at 4:00 pm when the man was trying to board a bus”.
Nisha was about to lose her senses. How could this happen? She knew this type of things. She had heard about this. The soul of the person comes to meet you before it parts forever. She ran to the drawing room. Ajay was not there. It is true?
Has something that bad really happened to Ajay???
Has he left her forever??
Oh God had she been given another chance she would have mended all her faults She rolled down on the floor awestruck.
Suddenly there was noise from the bathroom. Ajay came out, “I forgot to tell u dear my purse was stolen while I was returning home.”
Life might not give you a second chance. So never waste a moment when u can make up for your deeds.
