When we talk about our train services in India, we always assume that India railways are biggest (although actually second after the same of China) and the dirtiest. But folks, I traveled by Shatabdi Express from Chennai to Mysuru very recently and experienced a wow service by the people and the facilities.
The coach we were in was EC and it was sparkling clean. The coach waiter was always attentive and polite, which you may not expect from a train service. The Train was on time perfectly and it maintained the same when we had the returned journey by the same train.
Timely service of meals was also commendable. Extreme hygienic aspects were demonstrated by the waiters, we were delighted to see that and was surprise too.
I can definitely say that Indian Railways have improved a lot.
Without finding faults in railway services, we started taking benefits of the journey by looking outside the glass and getting overwhelmed by the nature's creations as and when we were passing by the green fields and hills.
