Ethiad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, has announced the signing of Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif, as their new brand ambassador. Having won numerous national and international awards, Katrina Kaif has greatly contributed to the Indian film Industry.
Ethiad Airlines and Katrina Kaif will work on a series on initiatives to promote the airlines in India and around the world. Ethiad recently launched a video with Katrina Kaif dancing in the airline’s First Class lounge in Abu Dhabi. The video was directed by Famous choreographer Farah Khan. This video is also distributed to the social networking sites like YouTube.
Ethiad’s key markets include the United Arab Emirates, United States and The United Kingdom.
Ethiad Airways chief commercial officer, Peter Baumgartner said, “Our partnership with Katrina Kaif will help build Ethiad’s brand name globally and further introduce our world class products and services across India and to Indian communities around the world”.
Katrina Kaif, Ethiad’s New Brand Ambassador said, “I have always loved flying with Ethiad and I am extremely honored to work closely with the world’s leading airline.”
Ethiad Airways is all set to launch flights to its eighth destinations in India and 66th destination worldwide. On January 1, 2011, Ethiad will commence with four flights every week to Bangalore.
James Hogan, CEO of Ethiad Airways said, “We are delighted to launch our new service to Bangalore and to serve our customers in Karnataka”.
